The Missouri Playwrights Workshop (MPW) was founded by Dr. David Crespy in 1998, and is a project of MU's Department
of Theatre and Writing For Performance program. For the last ten years, MPW has presented
readings of new stage and screen plays by Missouri playwrights throughout the school
year and is free and open to the public. Please feel free to join
us as an actor, writer, director or audience member, as well as
participate in the discussion of the plays in our new play development
process!
The Missouri Playwrights Workshop meets every Tuesday evening from 7
to 10 p.m. in the north ground-floor lounge of Memorial Union on
the MU campus. The workshop is closed over the summer and winter breaks.
