How to Order Tickets

There are several convenient ways to purchase tickets for an MU Department of Theatre production.

BY PHONE: Phone purchases can be made with payment by Visa/Mastercard/Discover Card. Call 573-882-PLAY. (NOTE: If you receive the answering machine during regular box office hours, our workers are assisting other customers. Please, leave your name, phone number, the show you wish to attend and the number of tickets you will need. A box office employee will return your call at the first available opportunity.)

BY MAIL: Mail your ticket request to Rhynsburger Theatre, 129 Fine Arts Building, Columbia, MO 65211.

IN PERSON: THE MU THEATRE BOX OFFICE is located in the Rhynsburger Theatre lobby in the Fine Arts Building on the MU campus located at the southwest corner of Hitt Street & University Avenue. The box office opens Monday (unless it is holiday) the week prior to opening night of each production. We have a 15-minute parking space for ticket buyers on the west side of the Rhynsburger Theatre. Call the Box Office at 882-PLAY to verify opening hours and days.

For Season 2012-2013, the box office will open Tuesday, September 4th at 4:00PM. Online sales will begin at the same time.

Ticket Policies

Paid ticket orders received within one week of the performance date will be held at the box office.
Tickets may be exchanged on a space available basis.
All Sales Are Final. NO REFUNDS.

Academic Year Season Ticket Prices

Please note: These prices are only for the academic year, and do not apply to MU Summer Rep Theatre. Please visit http://theatre.missouri.edu/summer for more information on Summer Rep.

Build Your Own Season: Buy tickets to any three productions and get a discount of $2 off each ticket. The Build Your Own Season is available online, in person, and by phone. When purchasing online, the discount should be automatically applied. Confirm the discount before completing the order, as we cannot offer refunds under any circumstances.

MU Faculty / Staff — $10
Student / Senior Citizen — $10
All Corner Playhouse seats — $8

Age for Senior Citizen prices — 60 & older
Special rates are available for groups of 10 or more.
As a courtesy to our patrons, it is theatre department's policy to not admit children under the age of five.

Note: When you receive your tickets in person or by mail, please check them for exact performance and curtain time.

Curtain Times

PLEASE NOTE NEW EVENING CURTAIN TIME: 7:30 P.M.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on evenings and 2 p.m. for Sunday matinees.

Directions and Parking

The Rhynsburger Theatre is located in the Fine Arts Building on the southwest corner of University Avenue and Hitt Street. (map, directions, parking)

The Corner Playhouse is located in the Fine Arts Annex on the northeast corner of University Avenue and Hitt Street. (map, directions, parking)

PARKING: Two lighted, parking garages are available, one on Hitt Street and one on University Avenue, at no charge.

Accessibility

The Rhynsburger Theatre and the Corner Playhouse are handicapped accessible.

Beepers, Cameras, Cellular Phones and Recording Devices

Cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the theatre during performances. Cellular phones and mobile devices should be turned off during performances.
