How to Order Tickets

There are several convenient ways to purchase tickets for an MU Department of Theatre production.

By clicking the link above you are leaving theatre.missouri.edu and transactions will be securely handled by tix.com.

You will not see a season ticket option but if you choose all the shows on the season the discount will be automatically applied.

BY PHONE: Phone Reservations can be made with payment by Visa/Mastercard/Discover Card. Call 573-882-PLAY. (NOTE: If you receive the answering machine during regular box office hours, our workers are assisting other customers. Please, leave your name, phone number, the show you wish to attend and the number of tickets you will need. A box office employee will return your call at the first available opportunity.)

BY MAIL: Mail your ticket request to Rhynsburger Theatre, 129 Fine Arts Building, Columbia, MO 65211.

IN PERSON: THE RHYNSBURGER THEATRE BOX OFFICE is located in the Rhynsburger Theatre lobby in the Fine Arts Building on the MU campus located at the southwest corner of Hitt Street & University Avenue. The box office opens one week prior to opening night of each production. During that period, regular box office hours are Monday through Friday 3:00 to 5:30 PM and one hour prior to each performance. We have a 15-minute parking space for ticket buyers on the west side of the Rhynsburger Theatre. Call the Box Office at 882-PLAY to verify opening hours and days.

Ticket Policies

Paid ticket orders received within one week of the performance date will be held at the box office.
Tickets may be exchanged on a space available basis.
All Sales Are Final. NO REFUNDS.

Academic Year Season Ticket Prices

The Jester Subscription Series is your pass to everything offered by the MU Department of Theatre during the academic year. It allows you entree into all events - with the exception of "Picture Incomplete." It represents a savings of up to $2 per event. When purchasing your Jester Series Subscription, you'll be able to select your dates and your seats for shows in The Rhynsburger (Corner Playhouse is open seating) with the ability to change those dates if your plans change.

Individual Tickets

General — $12 ($14 for musicals)
MU Faculty / Staff — $10 ($12 for musicals)
Student / Senior Citizen — $8 ($10 for musicals)
All Corner Playhouse seats — $7

Age for Senior Citizen prices — 60 & older
Only season ticket subscribers can have tickets replaced if they are lost or stolen.
Special rates are available for groups of 10 or more.
As a courtesy to our patrons, it is theatre department's policy to not admit children under the age of five.

Note: When you receive your tickets in person or by mail, please check them for exact performance and curtain time.

Curtain Times

Performances begin at 8 p.m. on evenings and 2 p.m. for Sunday matinees.

Directions and Parking

The Rhynsburger Theatre is located in the Fine Arts Building on the southwest corner of University Avenue and Hitt Street. (map, directions, parking)

The Corner Playhouse is located in the Fine Arts Annex on the northeast corner of University Avenue and Hitt Street. (map, directions, parking)

PARKING: Two lighted, parking garages are available, one on Hitt Street and one on University Avenue, at no charge.

Accessibility

The Rhynsburger Theatre and the Corner Playhouse are handicapped accessible.

Beepers, Cameras, Cellular Phones and Recording Devices

Cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the theatre during performances. Cellular phones and mobile devices should be turned off during performances.
