Summer Lineup Announced for Mizzou’s Summer Repertory Theatre
Mizzou’s Larry D. Clark Summer Repertory Theatre (SRT) lineup for 2025 will have audiences of all ages laughing and singing along. Artist direction by Dr. Joy Powell. Shows will include performances of the murderously funny "Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery and family-favorite Disney's The Little Mermaid.
When the curtain rises, on this the 56th summer of SRT, we will continue the legacy of Larry D. Clark, former chair of the Department of Theatre and former dean of the MU College of Arts and Science, who began the summer theater company in 1969. Clark, who died in 2014, envisioned having professional theatre performances in Columbia. Since then, the department continues to invite Broadway professionals, such as choreographers, designers, performers, stage managers, playwrights, and directors to work alongside student and alumni performers.
“Larry Clark’s program allows students to broaden their talents through a hands-on experience working alongside alumni as paid professionals in a theatre company,” says Mimi Hedges, department chair, associate professor, scenic designer and director of production.
